The best way to show strange behavior in Rocket League Sideswipe is to take a photo or video when you submit a help ticket. Follow the steps below to capture images on each platform.
We’ve tried to list the most common steps to take screenshots and video, but these may vary by phone manufacturer. Reach out to your device manufacturer if the steps below do not work.
iOS
To take a screenshot
Depending on your device:
- Press the Release and Volume up buttons at the same time OR
- Press the Release and Home buttons at the same time

Your screenshots will be saved in your Photos App in a folder labeled Screenshots.
To record a video
- Open Settings.
- Tap Control Center.
- Tap Insert Screen Recording.
- Return to Sideswipe.
- Swipe down from the right corner of your screen to open the Control Center.
- Tap the Screen Recording button.
A 3-second timer will begin. - Swipe up to get rid of the Control Center menu.
- Record your video.
- Swipe down from the right corner of your screen to open the Control Center once done.
- Tap Stop.

Your video will be saved in your Photos App in a folder labeled Recents.
Android
To take a screenshot
Depending on your device:
- Press the Power and Volume down buttons at the same time OR
- Press and hold the Power button for a few seconds and tap Screenshot
If neither of these steps work, reach out to your device’s manufacturer for help.
Your screenshot will be saved in your Photos App in the Recent or Screenshots folder.
To record a video
Before opening the game confirm you have Screen Record in your quick panel options:
- Swipe down twice from the top of your screen and look at your quick panel.
- If Screen Record is not in your quick panel, tap the pencil to edit your quick panel.
- Drag Screen Record into your quick panel.
Once Screen Record is in your quick panel control, record a video by following the below steps:
- Open Rocket League Sideswipe.
- Swipe down twice from the top of your screen.
- Tap Screen record.
You might need to swipe left to find it. - Tap Start.
- Swipe down from the top of the screen.
- Tap the Screen recorder notification to end the recording.

Your video will be saved in your Photos App in the Movies folder.
