Quitting a Competitive Tournament early hurts other team members. To keep things fair, there are penalties when quitting early.
Quitting early the results in:
- 15-minute matchmaking ban
- A ban from the next Competitive Tournament joined
- Forfeit all rewards of that tournament
Leaving the tournament before seeing the final tournament results is considered quitting early and will also result in penalties.
Continuing to quit early can escalate to:
- 24-hour tournament ban
- 7-day tournament ban
- 24-hour matchmaking ban
Finishing tournaments, by winning or being eliminated, reduces further potential penalties.
