Changes to the Island Creator and Support-a-Creator programs payment structure

What is happening?

Although the Island Creator and Support-A-Creator programs are both Epic payout opportunities, we are separating the payment structure and will no longer bundle the awards of both. This means that each program will have its own $100 awards threshold for payout.

This change will take effect for the month of November, 2023 after a short maintenance period. Note that you will continue to be able to accrue awards during the maintenance period.

Am I affected by this change?

This change affects you, if you are a member of both Island Creator and Support-A-Creator programs.

You will not be affected if you are a member of only one program.

How am I affected by this change?

Currently, awards you accrue from both the Island Creator and Support-A-Creator programs go into a single, combined balance. If you do not earn more than $100 within a 12-month window, all accrued awards will be reset.

Moving forward, awards from each program will accrue into their own, separated balance. Each program will have its own 12-month window starting from when you first completed program application.

I have had my Island Creator program awards reset previously for not crossing the combined $100 threshold. What now?

Good news!

Epic will credit your previously reset Island Creator amount into your newly separated Island Creator program balance. You will have a (new) 12-month window starting from when you first completed your Island Creator program application to try to cross the $100 threshold.

Note that your previously reset Support-A-Creator amount will NOT be credited.

I am a member of both programs; I have accrued $40 from Support-A-Creator and $30 from Island Creator programs, totaling $70. What now?

After the separation takes effect:

  • Support-A-Creator
You have $40 towards payout eligibility and have 12 months starting from when you first completed your Support-A-Creator application (or starting from your prior awards reset) to earn an additional +$60 to cross the $100 threshold.
If you do not cross the $100 threshold, your accrued awards within the Support-A-Creator program will be reset.

  • Island Creator program
You have $30 towards payout eligibility and have 12 months starting from when you first completed your Island Creator program application to earn an additional +$70 to cross the $100 threshold.
If you do not cross the $100 threshold, your accrued awards within the Island Creator program will be reset.

Why does my Payout History for the Island Creator program appear to be empty?

If you had been a member of both the Support-A-Creator and Island Creator programs prior to the month of November 2023, your Island Creator program payments up to the month of October 2023 will remain bundled and only visible under your Support-A-Creator program payments. You will be able to view them in the Payout History section of the Support-A-Creator program portal.

Moving forward, any new Island Creator program payments (if any) will show up in the Island Creator Program Payout History section starting for the month of November 2023.
