Why do the Item Shop and Buy V-Bucks appear empty on PlayStation?

This could be caused by a license or cache issues.

Restore the License:

PlayStation 5

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Select Users and Accounts.
  3. Select Other.
  4. Select Restore Licenses.
  5. Select Restore.

PlayStation 4

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Select Account Management.
  3. Select Restore Licenses.
  4. Select Restore.

Clear cache files and Rebuild database in Safe Mode:

PlayStation 5

  1. Turn off your console by pressing the power button.
    Note: The power indicator will blink for a few moments before turning off.
  2. Once the system is off, press and hold the power button again.
  3. Release it after you hear the second beep.
    Note: One beep will sound when you first press, and another seven seconds later.
  4. Connect the controller with the USB cable.
  5. Press the PlayStation button on the controller.
  6. Select Rebuild Database.

PlayStation 4

  1. Turn off the PlayStation 4 by pressing the Power Button on the front panel.
    Note: The power indicator will blink for a few moments before turning off.
  2. Once the PlayStation 4 is off, press and hold the Power Button.
    Release it after you've heard two beeps: one when you initially press, and another 7 seconds later.
  3. Connect the DualShock 4 controller with the provided USB cable.
  4. Press the PS button on the controller.
  5. Select Rebuild Database from the menu.
    This scans the drive and creates a new database of all content.
    This operation may take a while depending on the type and number of data items.
