LS-0014: File not found

This error means that the game you’re attempting to launch can’t locate a file or directory that it is pointing to.


Verify the game files

Verifying your game files ensures your game has all the necessary files to run properly and hopefully should get the game working as expected.

  1. Open the Epic Games Launcher.
  2. Click on the Library.
  3. Click on the three dots next to the game you want to verify.
  4. On the drop-down navigation, click Manage.
  5. Once open, click Verify from the list of options

Depending on the size of the game this process may take a while. Once it’s done try to launch your game.


Manually remove and reinstall the game

If verifying your game files doesn't resolve the issue you can try to manually remove your game files from your computer.

  1. Close the Epic Games Launcher by right-clicking on the system tray icon and click on Exit.
  2. Locate the folder where you installed your game.

    Note: The default installation directory is C:\Program Files\Epic Games\

  3. Right-click on the game folder and click on Delete.

  4. Restart the Epic Games Launcher.

  5. Reinstall and try launching your game.


Disable background applications

Some background applications such as Antiviruses have caused this error to occur. Follow the instructions here to disable your background apps.
