ESP errors tend to be connection error codes. There are a few things that can be tried:
Removing FortniteGame folder from %localappdata%
- Close Fortnite and the Epic Games Launcher.
- Press and hold the Windows Key.
- Tap the R key.
- Type: %localappdata%.
- Right click the FortniteGame folder.
- Select Delete.
If you are not able to delete this folder restart your PC and try again. - Restart your computer.
- Launch Epic Games Launcher as an Administrator.
- Select Library in the left column.
- Find the Fortnite tile.
- Click the 3 dots (meatball menu) beneath the Fortnite tile.
- Select Manage.
- Click the Verify button.
- When finished restart Fortnite.
Check Available Space
Ensure the player has at least 10GB of available space on their Fortnite drive

Clear cache for console players
PlayStation 5
- Hold the PS button on your controller.
- Select the Power menu.
- Select Turn Off PS5.
- Wait until the PS5 power indicator light shuts off.
- Press and hold the power button on the console until you hear a second beep to enter Safe Mode.
This should take about 7 seconds - Connect your controller to the console using the USB cable.
- Press the PS button.
- Navigate to the Clear Cache and Rebuild Database option using your controller,
- Select Clear System Software Cache.
- Select OK.
- Wait for the console to restart on its own.
- Start Fortnite.
PlayStation 4
- Turn off your console (do not enter Rest Mode).
- Wait for the light on top of the console to stop blinking.
- Unplug the power cord from the back of the console.
- Wait 1-2 minutes.
- Plug the power cord back into the console.
- Turn the console back on.
- Start Fortnite.
Xbox Series S|X
- Turn off your Xbox Series S/X and unplug it.
- Unplug all accessories connected to the console
- Leave the console unplugged for two minutes.
- Press and hold the power button while the console is unplugged.
- Reconnect the power cord.
- Turn on your Xbox Series S/X.
- Start Fortnite.
Nintendo Switch
- Select the Home menu.
- Select System Settings.
- Select System.
- Select Formatting Options.
- Select Reset Cache.
- Select the User you want to clear cache and follow the instructions.
- Restart your Switch.
- Start Fortnite.
Install to the same drive as the Launcher
Some players have reported that installing Fortnite to the same drive as the Epic Games Launcher can fix this issue. If Fortnite is installed on a different drive ask the player to try uninstalling and reinstalling on the drive where Epic Games Launcher is installed.
- Launch Epic Games Launcher.
- Select Library in the left column.
- Find Fortnite.
- Click on the meatball menu (3 dots under image).
- Select Uninstall.
- Reboot your computer.
- Launch Epic Games Launcher.
- Select Store.
- Find Fortnite.
- Click the Get button in the right column.
- When installing be sure to install to the same drive that Epic Games Launcher is installed on.
