How to redeem a V-Bucks card

In order to redeem your V-Bucks card, please follow the steps below. Please keep the receipt for the V-Bucks card purchase in case you run into any issues, as the receipt might be required for us to assist you.

1. Go here and log in to your Epic Games account. If you are redeeming your card for a console, you can log in using your console credentials.
   Note: Make sure that the Display Name under Account Information matches your in-game display name. If you're prompted to create your Epic Games account, please follow the article: How do I upgrade a console or platform account to a full Epic Games account?
   
2. Hover over your Display name icon in the top right corner, and then click V-Bucks Card. Alternatively, you can go directly to this link: https://www.fortnite.com/vbuckscard
   
3. Click Get Started to begin the redemption process.
4. Carefully scratch off the back of your V-Bucks card to avoid damage and enter your PIN code with no dashes.
5. Click Next.
6. Select the platform you want to redeem the V-Bucks Card on, and then click Next.
   Note: If you don’t see the platform you want to redeem your card on, please verify the Epic account you’re logged into, as this step will only show the device(s) linked to the account you are currently signed in.
   
7. Review the details and make sure the Epic account, device, and new balance are all correct, and then click Confirm.
   • If you redeemed the V-Bucks to a PC, Switch or mobile device, you can launch Fortnite and spend your V-Bucks!
   • If you redeemed the V-Bucks to your XBOX or PlayStation, a secondary code was generated and it must be entered into your Microsoft or Sony account to complete the redemption.

XBOX and PlayStation

1. A 12-character or a 25-character code is generated after you click Confirm, you'll now need to enter this code into the selected third-party website (Sony or Microsoft). This code is also emailed to you.
   
2. The V-Bucks redemption website will direct you to sign in to your third-party account.
   Note: Be sure to sign in to the account that is linked to your Epic account. If you have multiple Sony or Microsoft accounts, it may be helpful to log in to your third-party account using an incognito window.

3. Enter the 12-character or a 25-character code and the V-Bucks will be added to your account.
