What do these game terms mean?

Hero XP:

Hero XP is used to level up your Heroes and Defenders, and is also used in Evolving your Heroes and Defenders. Hero XP can be found in Llamas, and as a reward from mission, or by retiring Heroes or Defenders. 

Schematic XP:

Schematic XP is used to level up, and evolve your Schematics for Weapons and Traps. Schematic XP can be found in Llamas, and by recycling schematics. 

Survivor XP:

Survivor XP is used to level up and evolve your survivors. Survivor XP can be found in Llamas and by retiring your Survivors. 

Commander XP:

Commander XP is your overall account XP. As you continue to get more from completing quests, you can earn Skill Points to use when you level up.

Teammate XP Boost:

A boost that can be used to give friends and teammates extra XP from completing missions and zones. 

XP Boost:

A boost that can be used to give your account a boost to the amount of XP received from completing missions and zones. 

Skill Points:

Skill Points are used in the Skill Tree to purchase extra perks for your F.O.R.T stats. 

People:

People are a resource used to Transform Heroes, Survivors, and Defenders. They can be rewards from completing missions in any zone. 

Training Manual:

The Training Manual is a resource used to evolve Survivors and Heroes. They can be found by retiring Rare Survivors and Heroes, or as a mission reward. 

Trap Designs:

Trap Designs are a resource used to evolve Traps. They can be found by recycling Rare Traps, or as mission rewards. 

Weapon Designs:

Weapon Designs are a resource used to evolve Weapons. They can be found by recycling Rare Weapons, or as a mission reward. 

Event Gold:

Event Gold is a resource that can be used to purchase items in the Event section of the Loot Tab in game. Event Gold only lasts as long as a single season.

Daily Coins:

Daily coins are a special currency used in the Event Store, and can be obtained by completing Daily Quests. 

Collection Book:

The Collection Book is an option for you to be able to add a Schematic, Hero, Defender, etc to the collection, to receive rewards as you continue to add more. Keep in mind, once something is in the Collection Book, it cannot be undone. 

Transformation:
Transforming is an option to combine multiple items into a single, (typically) better quality item. There are two different kinds of keys that will be used for Transformation:

Permanent Keys:

Permanent Keys are re-usable, and will always be available to you. Typically these will have a wider possibility of item that you will get as a result. The above image is for "Ranged Weapon" transformation, meaning that you would receive a random ranged weapon as a result. 

Consumable Keys:

Consumable Keys are a single use key that allows you to transform items. They can easily be spotted, due to the number on the card, indicating the number of uses available. These will typically give a specific weapon, and the above image is for an "Uncommon Shotgun". 

Survivors:

Survivors are used to fill out Squads, which helps to increase your overall power level, and add special perks and additional points for your F.O.R.T stats. 

Defenders:

Defenders are non-playable characters (NPCs) that help you in your missions. You can place down the Defender Post, assign the Defender, and have them help you fight (as long as you give them a weapon and some ammo). 

Heroes:
Heroes are the playable characters in game, and have four unique classes. 

Constructor:

Constructors are great for building structures. They typically have bonuses that increase health, building and repair speed. They also typically have abilities that focus on building and repairing structures. 

Outlander:

Outlanders are great for gathering any kind of materials. They typically have bonuses that increase probability of finding more materials, as well as faster movement speeds. Their abilities typically focus on finding items out in the world. 

Ninja:

Ninjas focus mainly on melee combat. They typically have bonuses and abilities that focus around movement, as well as the more efficient use of melee weapons in combat.

Soldier:

Soldiers are focused mainly on ranged combat. They typically have bonuses and abilities that focus on the refined use of ranged weapons and general Husk destruction. 

Backpack:

Your Backpack is used to store items that you gather while exploring in missions. This includes crafted weapons, traps, ammo, and materials. Your Backpack can be upgraded using the Research Tiers in the Skills tab. Just look for the icon:
 

Storage:

Storage is the items stored in your Storm Shield Storage. This can anything that you would typically find in your Backpack, as well as building materials (Wood, Stone, Metal). 

Schematics:

Schematics are the blueprints that you get for Weapons and Traps, which allow you to craft them. When you Level up or Evolve Schematics, you can unlock powerful alterations and secondary abilities for your Weapons and Traps. 

Squads:

Squads are different groups where you can assign Survivors and Defenders to help increase your power, and help you fight the Husks. 

Survivor Squads: Increase your F.O.R.T stats when you assign Survivors to the different squads. Additional slots can be unlocked in the Skill Tree and Research Tiers. 

Defender Squads: These are the Defenders that you have available to you to help out in your Storm Shield defense missions. You can unlock additional slots in the Skill Tree and Research Tiers. 

Expedition Squads: These are timed events that allow you to send Heroes out to collect items. They range from building materials, to weapons, and even include Heroes. 

Quests: Quests are the different objectives that are currently available to you in game. These typically have special rewards that they offer, which can include Schematics, XP boosts, and even V-Bucks! Some quests can be repeated, while others may only stick around for the duration of special seasonal events.
