I'm gamesharing; why can't I log in to Fortnite?

Last Updated: Jan 21, 2018 10:57AM EST
Permission to access Fortnite game services is tied to the Primary gamertag.

If the gamertag that owns the Fortnite Founder's Pack--the Primary gamertag--is not logged in to the Xbox One you are playing on, you will not be able to play Fortnite.

Furthermore, if the gamesharing arrangement with the Primary gamertag is broken--such as when the Primary gamertag is removed from the Xbox One system, or loses Access to Fortnite Save the World as a result of a refund request--the Secondary gamertag will also lose access to Fortnite and no longer be able to log in.

In this case, the owner of the Secondary gamertag will need to purchase their own Founder's Pack if they would like to continue playing Fortnite's Save the World campaign mode.
